About Fast Forward News

The field of journalism is experiencing monumental change. Fast Forward News shows you what this change looks like and how it affects the way you consume news. Our team of young reporters from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism will chronicle these changes as they take place in New York City, through the use of video, digital media and the web. We have examined everything from new media start-ups and branded content to long-form writing in the 21st century and the future of newsgathering. As journalists, these changes have a great impact on the way we report and earn a living. With this project, we want to not only answers some of the questions surrounding our profession, but also provide insight into what the future looks like.
